SoftBank Corp. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director, President Executive Officer and CEO: Junichi Miyagawa, hereinafter referred to as “SoftBank”) and Sagawa Express Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minami-ku, Kyoto City, Representative Director and President: Masahide Motomura, hereinafter “Sagawa”) are a project implementer*1 of the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO)'s "Technology Development Project for Realizing New Delivery Services Utilizing Autonomous Driving Robots" In late April, we conducted a demonstration experiment of outdoor delivery using self-driving robots, and were the first in Japan to successfully carry out outdoor delivery in conjunction with traffic lights*2.
